About SNIFF
Let me introduce our organization: We are a group of individuals who are passionate about creating a healthy, happy atmosphere for our community’s pets and feral cat colonies. This starts with reducing cat and dog overpopulation. We provide financial assistance with spaying and neutering personal pets and the feral/stray population. We also assist in helping find lost pets and directing people to community rescues and fosters for placement of animals. We are a 501C3 group that started in January of 2023. We have already aided with altering over 200 cats, dogs, and feral cats. All the monies for these surgeries are either donated or through fundraisers.
Pet population control

We offer funding assistance to individual pet owners and rescue partners for spay & neuter of companion dogs and cats. We subsidize TNR rescuers’ efforts to maintain healthy feral colonies in our rural area.
Rescue referral
Yes, we CAN save them all!
We work with rescues & fosters in our community and match those who need to rehome a pet with our private rescue partners. Space is very limited in our city-sponsored shelters and these partners prevent shelter overcrowding to avoid euthanasia for lack of space. Our local shelter has remained “no-kill” for over a decade.
Rescuers work in cooperation with the Mountain Home Animal Shelter and one another to match needy pets with caring adopters who are the true heroes in our rescue efforts.
Lost pet recovery assistance
Step-by-Step
When needed, we aid in recovering lost pets and safely retrieving those abandoned and strayed. This may mean helping owners post “lost” descriptions on social media and physically placing notices, helping with searches and/or humane trapping of animals in jeopardy.
